Hair, make-up and general appearance
We encourage pupils to take pride in their appearance and expect them to arrive well-presented, with the correct uniform, to every class.Hair needs to be kept off the face, with long hair styled in a way that prevents it flicking into the dancer’s face, such as in a bun or plaits (not just a ponytail). Discreet jewellery may be worn.
The school is happy to provide ballet hair tutorials.
Older students can wear make-up if preferred, although heavy make-up should be reserved for performances, photoshoots etc.
